IngeTrazo — authors and contributors ===================================== Creator and lead author ------------------------ Marco Sumari Tellez Civil Engineer, Arequipa, Peru. Original author and designer of IngeTrazo; wrote the topology engine, tools, rendering, and file formats. Contributors ------------- Pedro Caeiro (github.com/pacaeiro) Architectural and mechanical draftsman. Five merged pull requests (#11, #13, #15, #17, #21): the protractor shortcut conflict with pan, the exact axis Shift lock, opt-in larger toolbar icons, guides kept dashed by clipping to the window, and snapping to intersections between guides. Fifteen issues reported from daily drafting work (#7–#26) — mirrored orbit, snap points inside groups, axis lock accuracy, the protractor's click-drag, Move with Ctrl, self-inference, guide-from-guide, guides drawn in front of geometry, rotate-copy arrays, and the Alt key colliding with Alt+Tab. Much of how IngeTrazo's everyday gestures feel comes from him using the program as a draftsman does and writing down every one that did not answer as expected. He kept going through 0.4 and 0.5 (#27–#106): axis locks and their snaps, local axes in groups and components (#44), the sheet composer, Fillet 3D, Orient Faces, copy/paste between documents, and many more — and a pull request of his own for the composer (#116): a resized view keeps its drawing undistorted and renders again off the release. Two more for 0.5.4: a moved view catches vertices where it is (#124) and a centred rectangle's square cue is a real square (#126). Rafael García Rodríguez — "Rafael 3D" (youtube.com/@Rafa3D) Draftsman and 3D modelling reviewer. Hour-long filmed reviews of IngeTrazo, walking the program as a professional would and narrating every friction — the source of the sheet-composer work and of dozens of fixes. Diagnosed the NVIDIA + Wayland startup failure on his own machine. Above all, the drafting-STANDARDS tutorial: twenty minutes and a reference plate drawn in AutoCAD setting out how dimensions must be laid out under ISO and under the German/Japanese norm — text above the line, read counter-clockwise, diameters through the centre, radii from it. A written specification for something the project had no way to get right on its own. In his words: «a software can be very powerful but it can all go to waste if it does not meet the standards designers need». Ahsan Mehmood (github.com/iamahsanmehmood) Author of OpenSKP, the clean-room pure-Python .skp reader IngeTrazo's native .skp import is built on, and reviewer of the patches contributed back upstream. His plugin pull requests (#1–#3) became the Extensions system. dafrobozao (github.com/dafrobozao) Brazilian Portuguese translation of the interface (pull request #54, 1 260 strings): IngeTrazo's third language, and the first one contributed from outside. Félix Riestra (github.com/felixriestra) The macOS package (pull request #64): the IngeTrazo.app bundle and the .dmg built by CI for Apple Silicon, with double-click opening of .igz and .skp files. IngeTrazo's first Mac version. Components that come apart (pull request #96): OBJ files keep their parts, Split into Pieces, the Parts tray with its cut list, and the exploded view — furniture and joinery taken to pieces. Extension API 2 (pull request #141): several named panels per extension, overlays that project world points, file types an extension opens itself, and workspaces that stand in for the model. Gabriel Rodríguez Arregin (github.com/canalsecuario-blip) The Back color in Styles (pull request #99): the Front/Back colour pair, the tint of faces seen from behind. Edit ▸ Invert Selection (pull request #113), on Ctrl+Shift+I, leaving out what is hidden or locked. Edit ▸ Repeat Last Command (Shift+R): the last tool or one-shot command comes back on the current selection. Command search (pull request #168): F3 runs any command by name, as in Blender — initials, typos and both languages, in the model and the sheet composer. José Castro Basso — FADU–UDELAR, Montevideo (github.com/castrobasso) Architect and teacher of architectural representation. Two-point perspective with vertical verticals and File ▸ Export ▸ Current view as DXF, from his own modified build; the Levels extension (levels with guides and snapping in elevations), whose branch opened IngeTrazo to extensions that keep data in the document, add a panel and offer the cursor an inference. Building a free-software workflow for teaching: model → represent → edit graphically → deliver. Sherod Taylor (github.com/sherodtaylor) The First Person tool (pull request #86): walking the model like a game with W/A/S/D and mouse look, beside the Walk tool. liuandy (github.com/liujvnes) Simplified Chinese translation of the interface (issue #123, some 2 080 strings): IngeTrazo's fourth language. deedend (github.com/deedend) Italian translation of the interface (pull request #182, some 2 110 strings): IngeTrazo's fifth language. Rainjalin (github.com/Rainjalin) Indonesian translation of the interface (issue #216, some 2 230 strings): IngeTrazo's sixth language. Bane Andreev (Biro Andreev, Belgrade / Zagreb) Architect. The Windowizer example extension: parametric windows from faces, one container per window with its frame and panes, and the wall opened and closed again — a port of Rick Wilson's Windowizer 3 (2004-2005, whose notice it keeps). His notes on the extension API gave it add_menu, add_context_menu and per-group extension data. Rony Leonel Janampa Monago (github.com/Ronyleonel6) The Polygon properties example extension (issue #229, MIT): area, centroid and second moments of a face, for sections and slabs. Carlos Martins (github.com/fafecm) Bug reports with screen recordings that made each one reproducible: diagonal guides crossing a hair off (#110), a group's paint missing from the materials in the model (#133), groups drawn out of place after exploding (#134). mnavarromugas (github.com/mnavarromugas) The first to try the 3D mouse on a real 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse (#108) and to suggest inverting each axis on its own. xyont (github.com/xyont) Reports from mechanical modelling in millimetres: pulling a face up against a wall (#94), units kept for new documents (#121), colours by layer (#120). kagehak (github.com/kagehak) STL import (pull request #161): binary and ASCII, the model's unit, flat surfaces merged on import, the reading off the window's thread, and Edit ▸ Simplify Mesh for any mesh. --- IngeTrazo is free software under GPL-3.0-or-later (see LICENSE).
