NOTICE ## What the MIT license covers The MIT license in LICENSE covers the original work in this repository: the six-layer architecture and the way the skills are cut apart, the ARR-SPEC schema and its template, the backend capability format, the numbered principles, the checklists and self-check tables, the boundary and transfer tables, the style-fusion ownership rules, the frontmatter and file conventions, and the README text in both languages. That part is free to use, modify and redistribute, commercial use included. ## What it does not cover LICENSE cannot grant rights in material that belongs to someone else. The following is quoted or described in this repository and is not relicensed by it: 1. **Quotations.** Passages from the orchestration, harmony, form, counterpoint, arranging, mixing and style books listed under "Source books" in the README. Copyright in those texts stays with their authors, translators, editors and publishers. The excerpts in the `reference.md` files are short quotations kept for study and commentary. Redistributing them beyond that is the redistributor's own responsibility; MIT does not cover it. 2. **Translations.** A Chinese translation of a foreign work holds its own copyright, belonging to the translator and the publisher, separate from the original. This applies to the Chinese editions of Adler, Schoenberg, Sposobin, Levine, Izhaki, Howard & Angus and the Japanese arranging books. 3. **Musical examples and figure references.** Where a skill cites a figure or a musical example by number and page, that is a pointer into the book, not a reproduction of it. No scores, no engraved examples and no audio are redistributed here. 4. **Measured data from recordings.** The corpus layer stores structure and parameters measured from multitrack recordings — section boundaries, bar counts, energy curves, entry and exit events, harmonic degrees, dynamics figures. It stores no audio, no copied notation and no lyrics. Measurements of a recording are facts about it, but these tables exist to send you to the music, not to replace it. 5. **Backend and product names.** Suno, YuE2, ACE-Step, Stable Audio, MiniMax and any other backend named in `backends.yaml` are the marks of their respective owners. They are named to describe interoperability, and naming them implies no endorsement in either direction. Model weights carry their own licenses — some of them non-commercial — and this repository grants no rights in them. ## Rights holders The quotations in this repository are made for study and commentary, kept short, and attributed with source and page. If you hold rights in quoted material and believe a passage goes beyond that, open an issue at https://github.com/jtydhr88/music-composition-skills/issues and it will be shortened or removed. ## Buy the books Every skill's "附:来源" section names the books it rests on, with page numbers. The tables are an index into those books, not a substitute for them.
