# How omdrop-owl runs AWDL on each Wi-Fi driver. One line per kernel driver, # named as in /sys/class/net//device/driver. A card whose driver isn't # listed falls back to the "*" line, and only runs with /etc/omdrop/allow-untested. # /etc/omdrop/owl-profiles, in the same format, is read before this file: try # settings for your card there. To add your card here, see README.md, "Adding # your card". # # status tested: works out of the box; untested: needs allow-untested # mode shared: AWDL shares the AP's channel and Wi-Fi stays connected # exclusive: Wi-Fi is disconnected for the window, for cards that # can't inject, or hear AWDL, while associated (README) # mon_mac station: the monitor interface carries the station's MAC, and OWL # reads it from there; own: it keeps a MAC of its own and OWL is # given the station's (owl -m) # reconnect yes: force a reconnect after deleting the monitor interface, for # drivers whose station stops receiving after that # mt76_pm yes: turn mt76 runtime power management off for the window # notes the rest of the line: the hardware, and what was observed # # driver status mode mon_mac reconnect mt76_pm notes mt7925e tested shared station yes yes MediaTek MT7925 (Framework 13). Injects while associated, sending from the station's MAC; the station ACKs the phone's unicast. Without a reconnect, the station stops receiving 3-165 s after a monitor interface is deleted. iwlwifi tested exclusive station no no Intel AX201, kernel 6.8. Associated, the firmware passes up no AWDL frames. Starts no ad-hoc cell on 5 GHz, so runs on channel 6: a 2.4 MB photo from an iPhone in 17 s, to it in 10.5 s. The AX200 and AX211 are untested. * untested shared station yes no Any other card. Needs monitor-mode injection while associated, and an AP on channel 6, 44 or 149.
