Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

• Do I need to set any of the ini files to read-only?
  No, don’t need to set any ini files to read-only.

• Will I get banned for using this?
  No, I've been making changes to the ini files since release with no issues.

• Do I need to redownload config every game patch?
  Game updates do not reset ini files to default.
  If you run into issues, try using the latest version of the config.

• Can I change in-game settings?
  Yes, it won't override any of the changes done through ini files.

• Character shadows suddenly missing / blurry textures.
  Switch to another Graphics Quality Preset then back to the same one, you can customize the settings after.

Launch Options (Optional)

; For Steam just add to launch options in properties
-SkipSplash Skip intro videos
-dx11 Launch the game with DX11
-dx12 Launch the game with DX12
-ResX Sets horizontal resolution
-ResY Sets vertical resolution

Optional files in Common folder:

DeviceProfiles.ini to show Ultra Quality Preset or 120 FPS option on unsupported GPUs (Must have CPU that supports 120 FPS)

Input.ini to disable mouse smoothing and FoV scaling

Installation

Copy Engine.ini (choose one config) and other ini files to this location:

...Wuthering Waves\Wuthering Waves Game\Client\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor (Launcher)
...Wuthering Waves\Client\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor (Steam)

Please read comments inside the file, it'll disappear on game launch.

[!IMPORTANT] Current Engine.ini won't work properly if you don't delete UserEngine.ini (if you still have it), so remove it at this location:
...Wuthering Waves\Wuthering Waves Game\Client\Config (Launcher)
...Wuthering Waves\Client\Config (Steam)

Remove -EngineIni=Engine.ini in Steam launch options or exe shortcut if you previously added it.

Can't find your GPU? Search here then open the page for the GPU and look at the relative performance.
You don’t have to follow this exactly and can use any config to reach your target FPS / visuals.
